So here I am at the beginning of my journey into PhD land! I had planned on calling this blog ‘accidental academic’, but alas, the name was already taken! Does this mean that I’m not the only one who has unwittingly found themselves in the world of academia?

Musing on another possible name, the title ‘academia diva’ came to me. Hey, if I’m not accidental, then I’m going to go for something purposeful (maybe it’s fate’s way of telling me to change my perspective?) And what better way than to be a diva!

In saying that, I am (hopefully) going to embrace all the challenges that an extended independent research can throw at me, while I juggle a job, 2 kids, and a husband. Did I mention I’m also writing a novel?

Yeah, it should be an interesting ride!
